Our philosophy
How we review.
"The focus should stay on the experience โ
not on the people behind the review."Blind Bites Editorial Charter
The collective
Who is Blind Bites
Blind Bites is an independent restaurant review collective shaped by backgrounds in hospitality, food culture, travel and guest experience.
The team remains intentionally anonymous to keep the focus where it belongs:on the experience itself.
We arrive unseen
Every reservation is made under a different name. No restaurant knows we're coming, and no chef has the chance to perform for us.
We pay our own bill
Always. No comps, no hosting, no quietly removed items. The receipt is the only proof we keep.
No paid rankings
Our score cannot be purchased โ not by money, friendship, or favor. Sponsored content is always clearly marked as such.
We rate experience, not personality
We don't review chefs. We don't review owners. We review the night you'd actually have if you booked the table.
We don't publish to destroy
If a place isn't worth your time, we simply don't write about it. Our pages exist to illuminate, not to punish.
We return before we recommend
A great single visit isn't enough. Every published review reflects multiple visits across different nights.
FAQ
Frequently asked.
Honest answers to the questions we hear most often.
Yes. Every reservation is made under a different name, we pay our own bill, and no restaurant is informed about a visit โ before, during, or after.
